From Books to Bare Feet: A Creative Engagement Shoot
Updated: Mar 28
Hey everyone! I have an awesome story to share with you about one of my recent engagement sessions.
Meet Lauren and Patrick, a lovely couple who tied the knot this past Christmas. But before the big day, I had the pleasure of meeting them at the beautiful Rolater Park in Cave Springs, Georgia for their engagement session.
Lauren is a book lover, and Patrick knew exactly how to incorporate her passion into his proposal. So, it was only fitting that we carried this theme over to their engagement session. And boy, did we have a blast!
We started off with a sweet picnic, complete with cozy blankets, delicious treats, and of course, Lauren's favorite books. As the sun began to set, we moved on to practicing their dip kiss, which they nailed, by the way.
But things got really interesting when we decided to get Patrick out of his comfort zone and into the creek. Yep, you read that right! We splashed and frolicked barefoot in the water, making for some amazing shots.
The best part? The whole evening felt more like a date out with friends than a photoshoot. And that's exactly what I love about engagement sessions. It's an opportunity to connect with and get to know my couples on a personal level before the big day.
Not only is it a ton of fun, but it's also functional. It gives us a chance to go through some of my tried and true poses, so you know what to expect on your wedding day. Plus, I get to see how my clients show their love, which helps me make you feel comfortable when time is of the essence.
In the end, Lauren and Patrick's engagement session was a huge success. It was a fun and memorable evening, filled with laughter, love, and lots of splashing. And as for their wedding day? Let's just say it was even more magical than we could have ever imagined.
